Send us the site. We will review the information available, explain any next steps, and provide a fixed quote before any work starts. Your host may need to confirm the PHP patch level.
The vulnerable version stays reachable until someone changes it. Automated scanners do not need your permission to find it.

This checklist is an awareness tool, not a diagnosis. A review and, where necessary, confirmation from your host are needed to assess exposure.
What PHP2Shell actually is
If your site runs on PHP, its server uses PHP to generate content and run application code. It handles logins, payments, forms, and the database behind them. PHP2Shell is a flaw in that foundation itself, tracked as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619. Under vulnerable conditions, crafted requests may allow an attacker to execute commands on the server.
That is why this is different from the usual plugin warning. You cannot fix it by removing one extension or changing a password. If the PHP runtime is exposed, the locks downstream do not matter.
Public exploit code is already circulating. An attacker does not need to be sophisticated, and they do not need to target you specifically. Automated scans find unpatched servers, and the first request can be the one that matters.
Exploitation may not require admin access or a stolen password. Whether a site is affected depends on its exact runtime, patches, and configuration.
All branches require an exact patch-level check; a major or minor version alone is not enough. Ask your host about its PHP package and security patches. Read the Red Hat advisory.

Illustrative only. The exploit is public; the exact payload is intentionally omitted. This is why detection and a clean upgrade matter more than another firewall rule.
What is at stake
A takeover is not a cosmetic problem. It reaches customers, revenue, search rankings, and the legal obligations that come with holding other people's data.
Customer names, emails, order history, and hashed passwords can be copied without a visible change on the site.
Attackers inject spam pages and redirect your traffic to scam destinations. Recovery can take months after the fix.
A host may suspend an account when abuse is detected. Your email and other sites can go down with it.
Checkout, bookings, and lead forms stop. Small businesses lose the exact customers they paid to attract.
A breach notice is expensive to send and hard to forget. Customers do not distinguish between your site and your business.
Depending on where your customers live, a breach can trigger disclosure duties, fines, and remediation costs.
A free initial review can help identify next steps for your site.
The fix
A firewall rule or a malware cleanup does not remove a vulnerability in the runtime. TechnikGo upgrades the PHP layer properly, checks what depends on it, and verifies the site still works before we hand it back.
We take a full backup first. Then we test the upgrade on a staging copy, fix the plugin or theme incompatibilities that surface, harden the configuration, and move the site to a supported PHP branch. After the switch, we re-scan the live site and monitor it through the warranty window.
Send us your platform and version. The free scan decides the scope, not a sales call.
No vague promises. These are the steps in the job.
Most fixes are completed within 4 business days of approval. Complex or heavily customised sites are scoped separately.
How it works
You do not need to understand PHP, find a developer, or take the site offline to get started. We handle the technical sequence and tell you what is happening at each stage.
Platform, rough PHP version, and any symptoms. Two minutes, no login required.
We check the live site and send a plain-English result with the risk level and evidence.
You approve a fixed price before work starts. We back up, stage, upgrade, and verify.
You get the before-and-after scan, a short report, and a 30-day fix warranty.
Scope
The $499 Standard Fix is built for a typical WordPress, WooCommerce, or small custom PHP site. If your setup needs more, the scan tells us before you commit.

Honest qualifier
Not every site is exposed. Not every site needs an emergency response. Here is how to tell whether this is your problem or someone else's.
You do not need to know the CVE number or read the advisory. You need to know whether your live site is reachable with a known public exploit. Our initial review helps you understand what to check next; your host may need to confirm the patch level.

You may not need a paid fix if your site is already on a supported, patched PHP branch and the scan comes back clean. We will tell you that in writing.

PHP2Shell is a critical vulnerability in the PHP runtime that can allow an attacker to execute commands on a web server through a crafted request. It is tracked as CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, with a published CVSS score of 9.2. Because PHP powers the application layer, the issue can affect the whole site, not just one plugin.
WordPress itself does not remove the risk because WordPress runs on PHP. If your host is serving an affected PHP version, the site can be exposed regardless of how many WordPress updates you have installed. The same applies to WooCommerce, Laravel, Magento, Drupal, and custom PHP applications.
Start with the free scan. We review publicly visible exposure signals and explain the next steps. PHP versions and security patches are not always visible externally; your host may need to confirm the exact runtime and patch level.
Most Standard Fix jobs are completed within 4 business days of approval. The scan and quote usually take one business day. Complex custom applications may need longer, and we confirm the timeline before you approve the work.
We test the upgrade on a staging copy first, then schedule the live switch in an agreed window. A short maintenance window may be needed for the final cutover, but we plan it with you rather than taking the site offline without warning.
A live exposure check, the PHP version signal we can see, a risk summary in plain English, and a fixed quote if remediation is needed. It does not include a penetration test, malware cleanup, or changes to your site. No card is required.
The Standard Fix is $499 one-time. The Business Fix, which adds malware cleanup and SEO recovery, is $899. Complex or multi-site environments start at $1,499. The optional Care Plan is $199 per month. The final fixed quote is confirmed after the scan and before any work starts.
Sometimes, yes. But an upgrade can break plugins, themes, and custom code, and a failed switch can take the site down. If you are comfortable testing on staging and rolling back, a supported host and a recent backup are the minimum. If not, the fixed-price service exists to remove that risk.
For the free scan, no. For remediation, we need a secure way to access the hosting panel or a temporary admin account. We ask for the minimum access required, never ask for your personal password, and recommend revoking temporary credentials after the job is complete.
Choose the Business Fix. It includes malware and backdoor cleanup, removal of the entry point, and SEO and redirect recovery. If customer data may have been accessed, we will tell you what we can confirm and recommend that you take legal or compliance advice.
Yes. The Care Plan is $199 per month and covers post-fix monitoring, PHP update checks, vulnerability alerts, and a monthly health summary. It is optional, and you can cancel at any time. It does not replace your host's backups or your own incident plan.
